Thought you’d seen the back of the 1970’s? Think again. Tropical motifs with a subtly glamorous 70’s vibe are featuring in a big way this season. This theme has had a fresh update for 2016 and will have vibrant, bold and brash colour clashes. Think rich emerald green tropical leaves paired with vibrant pink, orange and yellows. Add in the necessary splash of rattan (which is a resurging trend all of it’s own) and you have an on trend design that has powerful impact.
If tropical design is something that you can see in your home, we have rounded up a few designs readily available. Osborne & Little work with the print designer Matthew Williamson, known for his colourful and glamorous style of design. He has created a few collections recently that symbolise the tropical motif trend, Cubana and Samana, view these at www.osborneandlittle.com. If whole room wallpaper overhaul in tropical fauna is too much for your senses, introducing accessories like fauna print cushions to a decadently dark green velvet sofa would be a softer approach.
