The Majestic Material – Marble Interiors Trend
Marble interiors trend , still completely sizzlin’ and we know why; it’s sleek, fresh, stylish and luxurious. Marble works in many different styles adding a touch of natural decadence without the fuss. The oh so swoon-worthy stone gets our vote.
For centuries, marble has been valued for its beauty. Ancient Greeks used it to line their baths and pools, while the Romans used it to build homes, temples and monuments. Chic and luxurious, durable and strong, marble is magnificently cold to the touch but sizzlin’ hot, design-wise.
Majestic Marble Ensuite
Take a sneaky peak at the project we are currently working on – A Majestic Marble Master Ensuite, not quite completed for the professional shots, but a shame not to include the beautiful variations of marble used in this space – Marble was the perfect choice for this luxurious ensuite. We used a mandarin stone Alps Honed Polished Chevron Marble Mosaics tile that is going firmly in our design library, we adore! We are also in complete love with the bay window area and the stunning bath.
How to create Marble interiors in your home
Marble is beyond beautiful and making it part of your home décor can be more affordable than you may think. If your kitchen wasn’t designed with marble floors or countertops, why not add a marble console as a sideboard for a coffee or espresso machine. Give a marble cutting board a permanent home on your kitchen counter, or display a marble serving tray on a dining room sideboard. A marble statue, accent table or lamp base can go a long way to elevating your home’s wow factor. Even the smallest marble accent has luxe appeal.
No worries if you don’t have marble tiles in your ensuite. Add a low marble side table to hold a basket of toiletries and towels. White marble offers a pristine, oasis-like look and feel.
If you’ve always thought a marble mantle in the living room was financially out of reach, a stunning marble-topped coffee table would work beautifully to anchor the room in cool sophistication for a fraction of the cost.
Marble is a natural stone and works brilliantly with other natural elements. Use a marble side table as a plant stand in the conservatory or outside on the porch. Wood and marble are a gorgeous combination, just as metal and marble look divine together. Add a marble-topped console with an open, metal frame to an entryway. The light, polished steel or brass frame will keep things open and airy without distracting from the beauty of the marble itself.
White marble makes a stylish statement while black marble is the ultimate in elegance. The gorgeous veins flowing through a marble slab add visual depth and give any marble piece additional glamour. We’re mad about marble. How about you?
